Approve before apply
Every file change is a reviewable diff. Reject, ask for a revision, or accept and run tests in the same window.
Objectiv (AZO) is the developer workbench: a serious editor, multi-root workspace, curated marketplace, and the Objective agent. Community is free; Enterprise adds licensed on-behalf chat, mail, and meetings.
Plan, edit, approve patches, session view.

Read →The agent lives in the activity bar and shares the same harness as A-Zing coding-agent tooling—file search, patches, terminal, Git, and labeled accept/reject on trajectories.

Objective runs commands with your user credentials—search, build, test, docker—never silently bypassing your shell policies.
Watch the plan unfold in real time and stop mid-turn when the model drifts. Coding sharpness is a primary product track.
Package themes, snippets, or config JSON, validate against the catalog schema, and ship via A-Zing SSO to marketplace.project-objectiv.com.
Only extension kinds Objectiv applies today appear in the public list—no Open VSX compatibility promise.
Open local folders and remote roots together. The agent targets the active root for edits and terminal cwd.
Draft and send chat messages, mail, and meeting actions through configured providers—gated by seat license and approval.
Objectiv is a Tauri 2 desktop app on macOS, Windows, and Linux—fast native shell, web-tech UI, offline-friendly local projects.
Add, remove, and reorder workspace roots. Each root can expose its own terminal session and Git view.
Dock the shell beside code or pop terminals into separate windows for long-running servers and agent-driven commands.
Load dev servers inside the workbench for quick visual checks while Objective edits frontend code.
Command palette, user settings JSON, and product-specific keys such as objectiv.agent.approveBeforeApply.
Monaco drives editing with LSP-backed intelligence, multi-cursor editing, minimap, and language-specific tooling. Notebooks support exploratory data and docs workflows.

Choose where inference runs—your laptop, your VPC, or a hosted API.
Keep code and prompts on-device for air-gapped or regulated environments.
Any OpenAI-compatible gateway; rotate keys in Settings without rebuilding the app.
Seat licenses gate comms tools; future releases will bind model allowlists to JWT claims.
The Objectiv catalog lists themes, snippet packs, and editor config—not arbitrary VS Code extensions. Community installs a subset; Enterprise unlocks the full catalog.

You configure the providers your organization uses. The agent never sends on a channel you have not connected—and Enterprise license checks apply before on-behalf actions.

Comms tools follow the same approve gate as code patches. Sidecar enforcement rejects unlicensed on-behalf calls even if UI is visible in a dev build.
Settings → Integrations → Notifications control which events surface while you code.
Central list of chat, mail, and meeting events with quick open.
Respond or RSVP from a popup without leaving the editor.
OS notifications with optional preview text and soft chime.
Integrated shell per root; agent commands respect cwd.
Stage, commit, and diff from the shell UI.
Activity-bar entry for agent threads and task lists.
Same installer everywhere—edition is determined by license state, not a hidden toggle.
